A MAN and woman have been arrested in connection to a spate of alleged burglaries at beauty salons on the southern Gold Coast.

POLICE have arrested a man and a woman in relation to a spate of alleged beauty store burglaries across the Gold Coast.
At least three Gold Coast stores have allegedly been burgled over the past fortnight.
Make up, cash, sunglasses, tanning supplies and expensive hair straighteners are believed to have been taken from the shops during the break-ins.
This morning police arrested a man and later a woman in relation to the burglaries.

Both have been driven to the Southport Watch House, where they are being questioned by detectives.
The man and woman have not been formally charged.
A police spokeswoman said officers were investigating whether further break-ins were linked to the duo.
