THE heartbroken girlfriend of Gold Coast bikie associate Liam Scorsese — who was fatally shot by police in February — claims the officers failed to switch on their body-worn cameras before the shooting.
An ‘enraged’ Scorsese, 31, was killed outside his girlfriend’s Brisbane home during a dramatic domestic call-out on February 25, when police attempted to taser him and then shot him twice, once in the neck.
But his girlfriend, who cannot be legally named, this morning claimed the family had been informed no body cam footage existed.
“Can’t believe I’m writing this, but feel people should know just how much the system has once again failed Liam,” she wrote.
SCORSESE’S LAST CALL TO LAWYER
“We have now been told that the body cam footage is suddenly non existent, apparently wasn’t switched on while police were attending the scene and shot Liam.

“We have been led to believe this whole time that this wasn’t the case and that the footage will finally give us answers and clarity as to why this happened.
“We have had our hopes up and just got stripped from the one thing that we had to pursue justice for my man.”
Scorsese’s girlfriend went on to say ‘our families are left f**king torn apart yet again’
“I’m so sorry Liam, you are supposed to be at peace but no doubt you would be appalled by this as we all are,” she wrote.
“This is not right, I’m shattered, I’m angry.”
Scorsese was happily loved up with his girlfriend just weeks before his death but was also the subject of a police domestic violence application and was trying to break into his girlfriend’s Wakerley home when he was shot dead.
Queensland police have been contacted for comment.
