ACCUSED murderer Gable Tostee posted a bizarre video online of him arriving at court to plead guilty to drink-driving.

The 28-year-old (pictured) held his mobile phone by his side, recording journalists and later uploaded it to his Facebook page, saying “this is what you don’t see — what it is like to be on the other side of the headlines, the photos, and the TV screen”.

Tostee pleaded guilty in the Southport Magistrates Court yesterday to drink-driving and breaching his bail in a wild, high-speed police pursuit after the Splendour in the Grass festival in July, 2014.

He drove from Byron Bay to the Gold Coast to beat the 3am lockout but about 2.20am police saw the vehicle speeding at 150km/h on the Pacific Highway.

The car hit 200km/h before road spikes were used near the NSW border to slow it down but it continued another 1km into Queensland.

He was arrested and spent six months inside a NSW jail.

The prosecution offered no evidence on charges of public nuisance and obstructing police relating to an alleged incident in Surfers Paradise in January 2014.

Police had alleged that Tostee caused a scene and swore at a convenience store after he refused to pay a tuktuk operator. It was alleged he obstructed police by holding the door of a police car.

Tostee posted about these charges on Facebook — calling them “unsubstantiated”.

Solicitor Nick Dore said his client had already served six months behind bars in relation to the police pursuit in NSW.

Mr Dore said he accepted his client had a “very high reading” and said the case had been delayed as Tostee was in custody on a “much more serious offence”.

Magistrate Joan White found that Tostee had already been punished and did not punish him further. He was disqualified from driving for 15 months and convictions were recorded.
