The Southport Magistrates Court was yesterday told Jones, 48 of Brisbane, blew a blood alcohol reading of 0.279, more than five times the legal limit.
Magistrate Mark Howden said it was unusual for courts to see people with readings so high because it was difficult to operate a car while effected by so much alcohol.
“Heaven knows how much danger you presented to other motorists,” Mr Howden said.
When Jones was apprehended by officers he was put inside a police vehicle.

But Jones started to kicking the vehicle’s interior so hard officers had to take him out of the car where he was eventually capsicum sprayed.
In sentencing, Mr Howden took note of Jones’ excellent work history which included senior management positions.
He also noted Jones had ongoing problems with alcohol and issues with depression.
Jones was placed on probation for a period of 18 months and disqualified from driving for 13 months.
