Moorea was granted bail on Monday with the condition he wear a GPS tracker.
However no tracker was available at Southport Watchhouse because they take up to a week to be transferred from Brisbane.
Moorea is accused of throwing girlfriend Breeana Robinson off a Southport balcony in 2013. He has also been charged with stalking a number of women.
