UPDATE: CCTV has been released capturing the meeting of Warriena Wright and Gable Tostee on that fateful August 2014 night.

It started with a hug on famous Cavill Avenue in Surfers Paradise.

Ms Wright leans in and embraces Mr Tostee, and they head to the nearby Surfers Paradise Beer Garden.

All in all, there’s about seven minutes of Closed Circuit Television footage capturing their meeting on Cavil Avenue at 8.45pm on August 7, 2014 to the pair entering Tostee’s apartment nearby.

About five and a half hours later - about 2.20am on August 8 - Ms Wright was dead.

That’s when the CCTV, tendered to the Brisbane Supreme Court in Tostee’s murder trial today, kicks back in.

Tostee's movements after Warriena Wright fell to her death caught on CCTV

About 2.23am, Tostee looks outside the front door of the building then goes to the basement and exits from there.

He is seen wandering the streets of Surfers Paradise for about 45 minutes, and at one stage eats pizza on Orchid Avenue.

The CCTV shows emergency services parked outside the Avalon Apartments, where Tostee lived and where Ms Wright lay on the ground below after falling from his 14th floor balcony.

His father picks him up from Surfers Paradise about 3.10am.

Tostee, 30, has pleaded not guilty to murder over Ms Wright’s death.

It is alleged he “intimidated” the 26-year-old New Zealand national into thinking she had no other choice but to climb over the balcony into the apartment below after he locked her outside.

The trial continues tomorrow.

EARLIER: TWO police officers have this morning been grilled over a telescope allegedly used by Ms Wright to hit Tostee before she fell from the accused killer’s 14th floor Surfers Paradise Balcony.

Gold Coast Criminal Investigation Branch plain clothes Senior Constable Jason Sheldon this morning gave evidence in the Brisbane Surpreme Court.

The officer was tasked to collect evidence, including a small telescope found on the coffee table of Tostee’s apartment, following the death of Ms Wright.

He told the court he found the telescope on the coffee table and the clamp that belonged to it on the floor of the apartment on August 12, 2014.

Tostee’s defence barrister Saul Holt QC quizzed Mr Sheldon over whether he re-attached the clamp to the telescope when handling the evidence.

“You were aware at some point the clamp and the telescope were attached together?” Mr Holt asked during cross examination.

“I’ve picked it up and I don’t recall putting it together,” Mr Sheldon said.

“I don’t know why I would put it together, but I don’t remember. I also could have put it together.

“I would have said (in a log) I put it together but I don’t honestly recall.”

A second officer Luke Scells was responsible for logging the evidence from the apartment relating to the investigation into Ms Wright’s death.

The senior constable was also asked about the telescope and whether he attached the clamp found in the apartment to it.

“It’s possible it could have been me, I cant be sure... I wish I could recall,” he said in phone evidence from the Whitsundays.
