Brian Wilkins takes over Brian Codd as Assistant Commissioner for South East Queensland

SOUTH East Queensland will welcome a new assistant commissioner as Brian Codd moves to the state crime command.
Assistant Commissioner Brian Wilkins will take over from Mr Codd.
The Queensland Police Service say that Mr Wilkins is “highly regarded for his engagement and development of collaborative partnerships with community and government.
“He brings a commitment to improving community safety and effective policing strategies to this position.”
Two other assistant commissioners have been appointed: Sharon Codwen will lead the Ethical Standards Command after a distinguished career in Victoria Police while Peter Fleming will take over the Security and Counter-Terrorism Command.
Commissioner Ian Stewart said it was a significant achievement for Ms Cowden, Mr Fleming and Mr Wilkins.
“I look forward to working with these experienced and professional officers in their new roles within the QPS executive,” he said.
“I also thank members of the Senior Executive who have been reassigned for their leadership, the valued work they have undertaken in their current roles, and for their continued efforts within these new positions.”

• Assistant Commissioner Maurice Carless — Intelligence and Covert Services Command
• Assistant Commissioner Allan McCarthy — Operations Support Command
• Assistant Commissioner Brian Codd — State Crime Command
• Assistant Commissioner Shane Chelepy — Organisational Capability Command
• Assistant Commissioner Peter Crawford — Brisbane Region
• Assistant Commissioner Clem O’Regan — Central Region
• Assistant Commissioner Mike Condon — Southern Region
The assistant commissioners who will remain in their current roles are:
• Assistant Commissioner Paul Stewart — People Capability Command
• Assistant Commissioner Mike Keating — Road Policing Command
• Assistant Commissioner Paul Taylor — Northern Region
