DIET evangelist Ashleigh “Ashy” Bines is under fire again as the Government seeks to wind up one of her companies over a $300,000 tax debt.
Court records reveal the Deputy Commissioner of Taxation has lodged an application to wind up ABBBC Pty Ltd, the company behind the wildly successful Ashy Bines Bikini Body Challenge.
Ms Bines and her husband Steven Evans, who live in a six-bedroom, $2 million waterfront home at Broadbeach Waters, sold their shares in ABBBC to a second company, Platinum Investment Group, of which they are the only members and shareholders.

The tax office launched the action in November over debts due last May, which include income and other tax, a fine and interest totalling $295,955.
The Bulletin attempted to contact Ms Bines and her business associate Levi Walz yesterday, but instead received a call from a man in Malaysia who would not give his full name but said he was from Specialised Business Solutions, the registered contact for several of the couple’s companies.
The man said the matter would be finalised and the debt paid by the end of this month but could not explain why it had taken a year.
“There was a payment plan that was entered into,” he said.
“It has been adjourned to ensure all the debts are complied with.”
Company documents reveal Ms Bines ceased being a director of the ABBBC less than six months after it was registered in April 2012, leaving her husband as sole director.
In January this year, Mr Evans also ceased being a director of ABBBC, handing directorship to Mr Walz who works at the Ashy Bines Transformation Centre, although Mr Evans remains the contact for the company’s web domain.
Brisbane firm Pilot Partners has consented to be liquidators if the tax office wins the case, which will start again in the Federal Court of Brisbane next Friday.
The company was also in trouble in 2013 when the Office of Fair Trading found it had breached consumer law, while Mr Evans is also in a court battle with rival wellness identity Emily Skye.
