THE man accused of kicking a dog at Palm Beach which was captured on video has not appeared in court again.

Brett Simpson, 32, instead sent his lawyer Allanah Patron, of Brooke Winter Solicitors, to ask for another adjournment.

Ms Patron indicated Simpson would plead guilty at the next court date but wanted time to organise matters before sentencing.

The footage of the incident circulated online and showed a man repeatedly kicking a staffy pup after getting the canine out of a car.

A local woman filmed the ordeal, which showed a man hauling an excited blue staffy off the back of a black ute before giving it a violent kick at the Palm Beach Parklands earlier this week.

In the footage the man appears to snap the leash back sharply a number of times, in an attempt to settle the dog.
