Mr Kucks sentenced Williams to 15 months prison and two years probation. He will be released on parole on January 28 next year.

The court heard a 51-year-old woman had gotten off a train at Nerang station and was walking up the stairs with her two children about 7.50pm on June 12.

As the woman walked passed Williams on the platform, he reached out and grabbed her on the breast.

The woman confronted Williams but he denied it.

She went to police who viewed the incident on CCTV.

The court was told on July 1, Williams was using the barbecue at Club Surfers residential complex when he started a fight with a resident who was walking through the common area.

Williams punched the man in the face, knocking him unconscious.

Williams was also caught not paying for food at Sushi Train and possessing a stolen push bike.

Defence lawyer Joe Wicking said Williams was unemployed and had struggled with alcoholism for three years.

“He had limited school and only went to grade nine,” he said.

“After leaving school he found himself floating on the edges.”

Convictions were recorded.
