PARKING meters are set to be switched off citywide as Gold Coast City Council attempts to manage the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The move, announced in a statement to the Bulletin today, will see on and off-street parking meters switched off across the Gold Coast from tomorrow.
Council CEO Dale Dickson said the move was part of “an effort to support local business and employees”.
“The rate for Bruce Bishop, Mal Burke and Jubilee carparks will be capped at $5 per day,” he said.
