A car which pulled out suddenly into the Bruce Highway was smashed by a truck, the two men inside needing to be cut out before taken to hospital.

Two men have been taken to hospital after being smashed by a truck due to their failure to use a Bruce Highway turn off safely.
A Queensland Police spokesperson said they were called to the intersection of Shute Harbor Road and the Bruce Highway after reports of a multi vehicle accident on June 11, blaming the accident on a “failure to navigate the intersection” by the rental car.
The driver and his passenger had to be cut from the vehicle, according to a Queensland Fire spokeswoman, with two crews attending.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said two men in their 20s were assessed at the scene and transported to Proserpine Hospital in a stable condition while a male in his 30s was also assessed on scene.
