Traffic delays expected with emergency services on Portsmith crash scene

Traffic delays are expected as Queensland Ambulance officers attend to those injured in a three car pile up at Portsmith today.

Hydraulic equipment is being used to free people from a vehicle following a serious three car collision at the intersection of Ray Jones Drive and Lyon St at Portsmith.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said there were three crews attending along with police and ambulance.

Five stable patients were transported to Cairns Hospital following a three-vehicle crash on Ray Jones Drive at 12.47pm.
