One person hospitalised after two-vehicle crash on Bruce Hwy near Bellenden Kerr
Part of the Bruce Hwy was temporarily closed, and one person has been rushed to hospital, following a two-vehicle crash south of Cairns.

Traffic was temporarily stalled and emergency services were dispatched to a two vehicle crash on the Bruce Highway south of Cairns.
At 10.35am paramedics received a triple-0 call from witnesses to a crash at Bellenden Ker, about 500m south of the Russell River Road intersection at Junction Creek.
It is understood a driver suffered a medical episode behind the wheel, causing a minor traffic incident.
A Queensland Fire Department spokesman confirmed at least one lane of the highway had been blocked to traffic.
“Police and ambulance crews are on scene as well,” the spokesman said.
It’s understood a Suzuki Swift was involved in the accident.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed one person had been transported to Innisfail hospital with minor injuries.
“It looks like they might’ve had a medical incident, which caused the (traffic) incident,” the spokeswoman said.
