A CAIRNS man is on a mission to introduce an exotic bar experience to the region only weeks after the opening of his first store.

Dhyaa Al-Mazkuri has hit the ground opening with plans to open up a shisha bar next to his new Cairns Convenience Store and Tobacconist which officially opened at Lake St on Monday.

“We sell gifts, lights, flowers, candies, American candies, all that type of stuff,” he said.

“I will be opening a shisha bar next door … in about six weeks.

“There isn’t many shisha bars in Cairns.”

Ideally located next to one another, Mr Al-Mazkuri said he hoped to break into the night time scene by keeping opening hours late.

“The convenience store is open seven days from 8am and closes 10pm so I can discover the area and what time it’ll be busy until,” he said.

“For the shisha bar, I’ll open on the weekend until 2am and thinking weekdays until 12am.”

Excited to start his next adventure in Cairns, Mr Al-Mazkuri invited people down to his convenience store and to keep an eye out for his shisha bar.
