A RECORD number of people attended the Cairns Cup Carnival on Saturday with many sporting some fashionable looks.
Around 5500 people walked through the doors. Style Stakes judge Kymberlee Cockrem said she really loved the spring inspired outfits this year.
“There were lots of bright colours, lots of yellows, pinks and pastel type colours as well as light fabrics,” she said.
“Overall the fashion has been amazing, there’s so many well dressed people.”
Punters were super excited to get out and about.
Megan Moore, of Liverpool, is staying at a hostel and was excited to experience the races in Cairns.
“It’s good fun. The woman are so dressed up, everyone looks so good,” she said.
“Everyone has such good fashion pieces.”
