Woolworths’ budget friendly festive Christmas meal ideas

With just two months remaining until Christmas, supermarket giant Woolworths has released a range of festive meal ideas and budget friendly feasts.

With just two months until Christmas, Woolworths has released a range of festive favourites, classic dishes and new flavours to celebrate the festive season including feasts for budget conscious families

The supermarket giant has specially curated more than 100 products to provide customers with a variety of dishes and deserts designed especially for an Australian Christmas.

Some of the items include a Biscoff trifle, roast chicken with honey, a pavlova wreath with Daintree vanilla, and Gold Davidson plum and gin tarts.

It has also prepared four festive feasts for less than $100 and a range of menus to spark inspiration for shoppers who love to entertain.

Woolworths managing director Louis Eggar said the team had thought of everything this year to take the pressure off preparing Christmas lunch.

“That’s why we’re bringing back a number of products in oven ready trays, including the Gold Bacon Wrapped Boneless Turkey Breast filled with a sourdough and native thyme stuffing,” he said.

“For those who love to cook, our award-winning hams are back and we are working with our farmers and producers right across the country to make sure the best of Australian fruit and veg are in abundance for salads and side dishes.

“It’s not Christmas without dessert and we’re taking our Gold Fruit Mince Pies to a whole new level this year, featuring butter shortcrust pastry filled with plump Australian vine fruits and apples and infused with Willie Smith’s Tasmanian Apple Brandy.

“The Gold Pavlova Wreath is back with Daintree vanilla and Australian honey roasted macadamias feature in the Gold White Chocolate & Macadamia Pudding.

“And to make planning a little easier at such a busy time of year, we’ve created a range of Christmas menus to suit a variety of budgets so everyone can enjoy the festive season.”

Customers will be able to view Christmas range on Woolworths’ website from November.
