Woman hospitalised after brawl at wedding in Bankstown

Up to 100 people are believed to have been involved in the brawl at a wedding venue in Sydney’s west.

A woman has been hospitalised after a brawl broke out at a wedding in western Sydney.

Police were called to Liberty Place on Chapel Rd in Bankstown about 11pm on Saturday.

“On arrival, officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command were told several people had been fighting,” NSW Police said.

The brawl is believed to have involved up to 100 people, 7News reported.

A woman, aged 45, was treated by paramedics at the scene for injuries.

She was taken to Bankstown Hospital in a stable condition.

An investigation into the cause of the brawl has commenced.

Liberty Place is a large wedding venue situated in the heart of Bankstown.

Images from the scene showed multiple police vehicles out the front of the venue, with a group of attendees, including the bride, captured in the footage speaking to police.
