Two people charged after man’s shooting death at Slacks Creek, Queensland

There has been a new development after a 41-year-old man was fatally shot in a residential street in what police allege was a targeted attack.

Two people have been charged after a man was fatally shot in a suburban street south of Brisbane in what police allege was a “targeted” attack.

A 41-year-old Slacks Creek man was found with critical injuries in Rowanda St, Slacks Creek shortly before 1.15am on December 5, following reports of a shooting.

He was rushed to hospital in a life-threatening condition but died.

“Initial investigations indicate this was a targeted incident and there is no ongoing threat to the public,” a police statement read.

On Monday, police arrested and charged a 28-year-old Caina Heights woman with one count of murder, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and arson involving a motor vehicle.

A 42-year-old Eagleby man has been arrested and charged with one count each of accessory to murder, arson involving a motor vehicle, driving a motor vehicle without a driver licence and using a vehicle for which a number plate attached recorded as cancelled.

He was also charged with failing to appear and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

They are both expected to face Brisbane Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
