A man and a woman were allegedly kidnapped by a pair who had bleach, hacksaw blades, plastic sheeting and a blowtorch in their car.

A man and a woman were allegedly kidnapped by a pair who had packed bleach, hacksaw blades, plastic sheeting and a blowtorch in their car intended to be used as torture tools, according to police.

Queensland Police will allege a man and a woman were at a park in Everton Park, Brisbane, when they were threatened and kidnapped by two men and taken into an SUV about 2am on Thursday.

The SUV allegedly drove south to the Gold Coast, where it came to a stop at a carpark along Smith St, Parkwood.

A 33-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman allegedly managed to escape the vehicle shortly after 8am and called for help.

Police arrived at Smith St and found a 35-year-old Jamisontown (NSW) man and a 36-year-old Thornton (NSW) man asleep in the vehicle.

Police will further allege that officers found zip ties, bleach, rubber gloves, hacksaw blades, plastic sheeting, aluminium foil, wire snips and a blowtorch in the vehicle along with a quantity of cash and drugs.

The two men were arrested and charged with two counts of kidnapping, two counts of deprivation of liberty and two counts of torture as well as one count each of assault occasioning bodily harm and robbery.

The two men are expected to appear at Southport Magistrates Court on Friday.
