Teen injured in knife attack at Parramatta Westfield
A teenager has been hospitalised after being slashed with a knife multiple times at a busy Westfield shopping centre.

A teenager has been hospitalised after being stabbed with a knife during an argument with a group of young people.
Emergency services were called to Westfield shopping centre in Parramatta about 4pm on Thursday following reports of a stabbing.
Police were told a 17-year-old boy suffered slash wounds to his arms and back.
The injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Police allege the incident happened after an argument between a group of “young people”.
“Initial inquiries indicate the incident followed an argument involving a number of young people, and believe the attack to have been targeted,” a police spokesperson said.
“There is no ongoing concern for public safety.”
The teenager was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital in a stable condition.
In photos of the incident, blood can be seen on the floor of the shopping centre.
Police have established a crime scene and will investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Images of the investigation appear to show police focusing on the cinema inside the shopping centre.
Anyone with relevant information is urged to come forward.
