Police on scene as woman found dead in Bedford home
A man is assisting police with their inquiries after the woman’s body was found on Monday afternoon in Perth’s northeastern suburbs.

Western Australian Police are investigating after a woman’s body was found in a home in Perth’s northeastern suburbs.
Emergency services were called to a property along Birkett St, Bedford, about 5pm on Monday.
The body of a woman was found at the house, and a man was taken into custody.
A WA Police spokesperson said the man is assisting with police inquiries.
“There is no ongoing risk to the broader community and the investigation into the death of the woman is now ongoing,” a statement from WA Police said.
The street, about 6km northeast of Perth’s CBD, has been closed off by officers as forensic units investigate.
The ABC reported members of the woman’s family were on the scene as of Monday night, visibly distraught.
