Two homes in North Queensland have been searched after the suspicious disappearance of a First Nations man.

Police have searched two North Queensland homes after a First Nations man vanished in suspicious circumstances.

Mackay resident Wayne Pedro Morseu, 71, was reported missing on November 10, leading detectives to two homes on River St and Griffin St on Thursday.

Police believe Mr Morseu’s disappearance is suspicious and set up crime scenes at the properties.

A police spokesman said officers remained at the homes while investigations continued.

“Police and family hold significant concerns for his welfare, as he has not contacted anyone since his disappearance,” a spokesman said.

“Wayne is described as First Nations with a slim build, grey hair and brown eyes.”

Anyone with knowledge of Mr Morseu’s whereabouts or information about him is urged to contact police.
