Two boys in their early teens have been charged with murder after one of their mothers was allegedly stabbed to death in her Melbourne home.
The 41-year-old woman was allegedly stabbed at a home in Abbotsford around 11.10pm on Wednesday.
Emergency services arrived before midnight to find the woman critically injured.
She was taken to hospital but died shortly afterwards due to the extent of her injuries.
Another teenage boy, 13, who was also at the residence was found to have no physical injuries.
The woman’s 15-year-old son and a 14-year-old boy were charged with her murder on Friday.
The teens are alleged to have fled the Abbotsford property in a vehicle.
Witnesses told police that the vehicle was seen about 11.20pm near roadworks at the St Kilda junction area.
Those witnesses also alleged to police that they saw teenage boys inside the vehicle.
