Queenslanders who purchased a ticket in Saturday’s Gold Lotto draw are being urged to check if they’re a winner, as a $3.3m prize remains unclaimed.
Officials from The Lott have put the call out to Toowoomba residents who purchased a ticket in Saturday’s Gold Lotto draw from Campbells News & Casket on Ruthven Street to dig out their ticket, as they could be a millionaire and not yet know it.
Spokesperson Anna Hobdell said the Lott have attempted to contact the winner, who is a member of The Lott Members Club, but believe the contact number provided has been disconnected.
“I was ready to reveal the life-enhancing news to the region’s newest division one winner, but sadly whenever I called the number provided, it said it was disconnected,” she said.
“You may not think it’s possible you’re the division one winner we’re searching for, but if you purchased an entry into the recent Gold Lotto draw from Campbells News & Casket that you haven’t checked yet, you’re in with a chance.
“We’re urging all lottery players to check their entries as soon as possible. If you discover you are holding the division one winning ticket, contact the Lott on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize.”
The winning numbers in Saturday’s Gold Lotto draw 4571 were 1, 35, 18, 25, 45 and 38, while the supplementary numbers were 4 and 16.
Across Australia, there were six division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4571 – three in New South Wales, two in Victoria and one in Queensland.
One of the winners, a dad from Malvern said he couldn’t believe he had won the enormous prize.
“I discovered the win on Saturday night. Normally, when I win only $11 or $16, I receive an email about it. But I noticed that I didn’t receive an email, and I thought that was strange,” he said.
“Then I went to check the ticket, and I couldn’t believe it. I’d won division one!
“It’s hard to believe I’ve won $3.3 million.”
