Three Alice Springs residents were allegedly threatened and robbed by weapon-wielding thieves in a string of separate incidents overnight.

Police are calling for information after a series of alleged aggravated robberies in Alice Springs on Tuesday night.

About 8pm, police received reports of an aggravated robbery on Stephens Rd, where a male was threatened by two unknown youths with machetes, who stole his backpack and wallet before fleeing in a vehicle.

Shortly after, there were reports of another alleged robbery on Larapinta Drive, where two males with machetes confronted a man who was walking.

The man ran from the alleged offenders, dropping his phone in the process, which was picked up by the youths with machetes, who demanded money for its return.

The man gave them $300 for the phone, before the offenders gave it back and fled in the vehicle.

At 8:17pm, a third alleged robbery occurred on Dixon Rd, where a female was pushed off her e-scooter and threatened by four unknown offenders who emerged from a vehicle, one of whom was allegedly holding a knife.

The woman was allegedly threatened for money, before her purse and e-scooter were stolen.

Later, CCTV operators saw the vehicle travelling along Barrett Drive before fleeing South of The Gap.

Police attended the scene, but the vehicle had left before they arrived, and was found abandoned on a dirt track near Karnte Camp about 11.20pm.

The vehicle was seized for forensic testing.

Anyone with information about any of the alleged incidents, particularly those with CCTV or dashcam footage from the area, is urged to contact police on 131 444.
