Shocking video has emerged of the moment two motorists engaged in a wild road rage incident in Queensland.
The incident took place on Old Cleveland Road and Tilley Road in Chandler on Tuesday, November 5, the Queensland Police Service said.
Dashcam footage of the wild moment was shared on the Dash Cam Owners Australia Facebook page, with the dashcam user who witnessed the brawl writing: “Managed to capture some ripper road rage Tuesday arvo driving through Chandler, QLD”.
As the dashcam user listened to the Bee Gees hit Staying Alive, footage shows a white Ford Falcon Utility overtaking vehicles before changing lanes twice, with one lane change occurring at the same time as the dashcam user who was in front of the Ford.
The cars then came to a stop at the lights, and a driver appeared to emerge from a grey Audi, leaving his car two lanes over and running towards the Ford.
As the motorist, dressed in a black T-shirt, approached the Ford, the driver flung open his door and a confrontation ensued. The heated situation quickly became physical as the Ford driver, dressed in a white and grey striped T-shirt and who appeared to be much older, appeared to be punched by the other motorist before the duo then came to blows on the road.
As punches and kicks flew the two drivers pressed up against the Ford and the dashcam user noticed it was rolling forward so he quickly moved his car to avoid a collision.
The fight then continued up against an orange ute in the next lane. As the dashcam user drove away, the video shows the driver from the grey vehicle can be seen leaping into the air to deliver a brutal karate-style kick to the Ford driver before the fight fizzled out and both return to their vehicles.
The Queensland Police Service told news.com.au no formal complaints had been made.
