Three people - including a baby boy - have been killed in a horrific fatal crash after a vehicle rolled in midwest Western Australia.
Emergency services were alerted to the crash on Geraldton–Mount Magnet Road, just east of the Gabyon–Tardie Road intersection near Yalgoo about 10.50pm on Saturday.
A woman believed to be in her 20s and a male infant died at the scene, WA Police said in a statement.
Four other occupants of the vehicle were flown to Perth by the Royal Flying Doctor Service and taken to Royal Perth Hospital with serious and critical injuries.
A police spokesman said woman believed to be in her 30s has since died in hospital.
WA Premier Roger Cook described it as a “horrible, horrible incident”.
“Because of where that situation is, the first responders were largely volunteers,” he told the ABC.
“And so our hearts go out to the family of the victims and the first responders, we thank them for their incredible work.
“It must have been a harrowing scene and we wish everyone all the best who was touched by this incident.”
WA Police have called for anyone with information about the crash or dashcam or mobile phone footage to come forward.
