A truly bizarre roundabout prang between a car and an e-bike rider in hi-vis is quickly going viral after what can be described as a display of peak pigheadedness.
It’s unclear where in Australia the July 10 interaction, posted to Dashcam owners of Australia, was filmed, but scores of Aussies wasted no time piling into the comment sections to have their say.
The footage shows the ebike rider, draped in hi-vis and wearing a motorbike helmet, approaching the roundabout at speed while the woman recording has already entered from his right.

She clearly had the right of way.
She passes through the roundabout as the rider approaching hits the skids to no avail, and he bumps into the side of the woman’s vehicle as she gasps.
Then the real drama begins.
The woman asks the man if he’s OK; he is, and he asks if she’s “all good?”
“Yeah, just a bit shocked,” she says
“We should probably exchange details.”
“I don’t have any details,” the man replies.
“What do you mean? You’ve got a name and a number,” the woman says.
“Yeah, but you should’ve looked,” he says.
The woman goes on to explain that she was already passing through the roundabout.
“You would have stopped if you’d seen me,” the man argues.
The bemused woman responds, “as I was going through the roundabout? You have to give way.”
“You had time to see,” the man persists. “I didn’t have enough time to stop.”
The woman cracks it, telling him, “Well then you were going too fast, that’s not my problem.”
The man circles the car and continues on his merry way, without giving details, of course.
In the comment section of the hugely popular traffic incident Facebook page, almost all agreed with the obvious: the woman in the car had the right of way.
One asserted the e-bike rider was the “only one person needed to give way there”.
Others argued a case for bike, or e-bike, riders to have road registration or third-party insurance.
“This is why they should have a registration plate so the rider can be identified,” one said.
“This is exactly why cyclists should have basic insurance!” said another.
One described the interaction as a “Lovely bit of gaslighting there mate.
“Stay toxic king.”
Another joked, “She’s in the wrong, I saw him indicate.”
