Volkswagen has slashed the price of its new Amarok ute by thousands of dollars.
The brand is looking to clear its 2023 stock to make way for the 2024 model year vehicles arriving soon.
Buyers can jump into a new Amarok Style with a V6 turbodiesel engine for $72,990 drive-away, which is about $5000 cheaper than before.
Volkswagen is sweetening the deal further by throwing in five years of free servicing that will save drivers $1800.
Buyers on the hunt for the deal need to secure their vehicle by March 31 and Volkswagen says there is plenty of stock ready to roll now.
The Style variant’s beefy V6 engine pumps out a class leading 184kW and 600Nm and it comes with full time all-wheel drive and top-shelf safety tech.
Features include electrically adjustable heated front seats, soft-touch leather-look trim, Matrix LED headlights, a wide-screen digital dashboard and oversized 12-inch central infotainment screen.
VW has also cut the price of 2023 Amarok Core and Life and Style variants equipped with a 2.0-litre bi-turbo diesel motor. These models can be had with the same circa-$5000 saving and free servicing deal.
They are priced at $54,990 drive-away for the Amarok Core, $58,990 for the Amarok Life and $68,990 for the bi-turbo Amarok Style.
The 2024 model year Amaroks are available to order from the start of February but come with price rises of about $3000 across the board.
New model year variants come with a brake controller to aid towing and the base Core variant scores blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
Volkswagen had a record year of Amarok sales in 2023, selling more than 10,000 units throughout the year. The German brand says the most sought after model is the mid-tier Style.
The new Volkswagen Amarok was co-developed with the Ford Ranger, which was the highest selling vehicle in Australia in 2023.
It shares the same mechanical elements but has its own styling and interior fitout.
