THE owner of Bonita Bonita and Poke Poke is ready to unveil her third project, FuFu American-Chinese.
Opening Thursday March 1, the site where Burger Fuel and Ashy Bines’ infamous Clean Eating Kitchen formerly resided has been transformed into a Palm Springs, 1950s-themed diner — complete with pink velvet booths, retro sign writing, arched windows and shelves full of old-school candy.
The food is American-Chinese; there’s cheese burgers and mac ‘n’ cheese, but there’s also sweet and sour pork and beef with black bean sauce. The menu takes from both cuisines.
And as you can see, owner Morgan Walsh has gone above and beyond with her fit-out, partnering again with DCQ Constructions to bring the diner to life — everywhere you look is totally ’Gram worthy.
FuFu will be open seven days for lunch and dinner, with a cheeky brunch on Saturday and Sunday.
