Woman sparks debate over details about your sofa

A woman has sparked a debate after making a very bold claim about whether or not someone appears rich or poor – but not everyone agrees.

TikTok user @lilhunnydip said it all comes down to your sofa and where it is placed, The US Sun reports.

She explained: “If the back of their couch touches the wall then they are not rich.

“Rich people, their couches just be out there in the open.

“Their couches don’t touch a wall. If your couch touches a wall, you are middle class at least.”

She added: “If your couch touches a side table and that side table touches the wall this still applies as ur couch touching the wall.

“I am laughing at everyone who’s taking offence to this as if being called middle class is an insult.”

Many people were quick to react to the video, and it racked up over 200,000 likes.

Lots of TikTok users agreed with her statement, with one person saying: “Realtor here, can confirm.”

Another added: “Great analysis.”

A third wrote: “My brain is exploding this is so true.”

However, many people were quick to disagree.

One said: “My neighbour has a pool with a tennis court and their couch still touches the wall.”

And a second person backed them up saying: “Mine doesn’t touch the wall because it would mould like the walls tbf.”
