Woman shares her quirky way of washing sneakers so they look brand new

A woman is taking TikTok by storm with her creative shoe-cleaning method.

Grace Martin decided to give her trusty kicks a deep clean at the car wash, and in doing so, left millions of people in fits of laughter (with a side of 'WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT?!) 

Now, you might be wondering, why in the world would someone take their shoes to a car wash instead of just chucking them into the washing machine like a normal person?

Well, the results speak for themselves. They come out looking brand-spankin' new.

"Work smarter, not harder"

In the clip, Grace shows her and a friend bringing a laundry basket full of dirty sneakers to the self-serve car wash. 

She writes: "Just two girls pressure washing their New Balances at the car wash. 🤪"

Then, she lined up all the grubby shoes against the wall and with a hose in hand, began blasting away the dirt.

She gets up really close and even picks up the shoes to make sure all sides are being cleaned.

You can literally see the dirty water drain away from them and it's strangely satisfying to watch. 

Within a few minutes, Grace and her friend's shoes look brand new again.

"Work smarter, not harder," she captioned the clip.

"I need to get my shoes there now"

TikTok users from around the world couldn't believe their eyes and they flooded the video with praise.

"So smart," someone said. "I need to get my shoes there now," wrote another. 

Then a third said, "I want you to be my friend, this is genius!"

And another viewer asked, "Can I do my white laundry here? Serious question. They came out so good."

"That's going to ruin them"

But others had some concerns and questions for Grace. "The sink? The washing machine? The tub? 😂 There's just so many options before this," someone mentioned. 

"Wash it in the washing machine - it always works and looks new again," another claimed. 

"That's going to ruin them," one user declared. 

"Girl just put them in the washing machine, 😭 " a different woman insisted. 

And others had safety concerns. "You look like you have no fear with that pressure hose - those things are DANGEROUS."

"For people watching, don’t do it near your feet if you’re using a strong pressure washer, it can slice it."
