A GOLD Coast tourist park has again been awarded the best family holiday park in Queensland.
This is the second year the Tallebudgera Creek Tourist Park has taken out the top spot by the Holidays with Kids travel magazine.
The award is based on votes by the magazine’s readers and website visitors, who assess parks on activities, facilities, staff, location, accessibility, safety, fun for the entire family, value for money and overall experience.
Four of the City’s tourist parks ranked in the top ten: Broadwater Tourist Park (second), Kirra Beach Tourist Park (sixth) and Jacobs Well (10th).
Divisional Councillor Daphne McDonald said this was a great achievement for the Gold Coast and a testament to our park managers.
“It’s really pleasing to see families enjoying our tourist parks and everything else we have to offer on the Gold Coast,” she said.
“They are located on prime real estate, provide easy access to theme parks and local attractions, and in the past 12 months have generated $70 million to the economy.”
Tallebudgera Creek Tourist Park welcomed nearly 40,000 guests this year and numbers are expected to rise as the park prepares for the holiday period.
“Christmas is a busy time of year for our parks and many offer a range of activities to help keep the kids entertained,” Cr McDonald said.
“Tallebudgera is offering a range of in-park activities like movie nights, arts and crafts, sport days and jumping castles.”
