What’s your favourite patch of paradise?

Burleigh Heads beach.

Who makes the best coffee on the Coast?

Espresso Moto at Palm Beach. It’s strong and it’s quick.

The best place to celebrate a special occasion?

Burleigh Heads beach offers the best of everything: beach, parks, sea breezes and plenty of food options.

How has our city changed in the time you’ve lived here?

The food scene on the Gold Coast, especially on the southern end, is world class. I also think the Gold Coast is cementing itself as a leader in holistic health.

Our city is also far more community focused than it was in the past. It’s just become a really cool place to live and the ideal place to bring up kids.

What’s your favourite patch of paradise?

Our hinterland is full of hidden gems — amazing walks with beautiful views.

I took one of my little boys to Lamington National Park the other day and did the Tree Top bridge walk. We loved it. Tamborine Mountain is also a favourite.

Who makes the best coffee on the Coast?

Ohhh I’m such a coffee lover. My life depends on it.

I drink one per child per day (so three caffeine hits!)

My all-time favourite comes from Expresso Moto in Palm Beach. I like their coffee beans so much that I use the same beans in my machine at home.

The best place to celebrate a special occasion?

I’m such a fan of Rick Shores in Burleigh. You can’t beat the view looking along the coastline, whether you are there during the day or watching the sun go down.

How has our city changed in the time you’ve lived here?

I’ve been back on the Coast for two and a half years now.

The food scene has exploded in that time.

New hole-in-the-wall bars are opening and the restaurants are top class.

I can’t wait to see the transformation of The Star and the new rooftop bar when it opens.

What’s the best-kept secret on the Gold Coast?

Most people know about beautiful Tallebudgeera Creek, but the secret little coves off Burleigh headland make you feel a million miles away. It’s such a great spot for children.
