THE action at Sochi has wrapped up, but if you’ve still not had your fill of snow we can help - for a price.
Here’s a sneak peek inside one of the world’s most luxurious ski chalets, all yours for an average weekly rent of 250,000 euros ($382,775).
At that price you’d want to feel like a VIP, so the good news is that, as well as having every luxury you’d imagine, Chalet Edelweiss is in the fashionable French resort of Courchevel, which attracts the likes of Victoria Beckham and even royalty.
Prince William and Catherine have been known to frequent the slopes along with other members of the Middleton clan.
Spread over 3000 sq m and seven floors, Chalet Edelweiss has eight bedrooms, but with these facilities you may not find much time for rest.
There’s the library, cinema, pool and spa, of course, but also its own nightclub, catering for up to 100 people.
A team of experienced chefs, butlers, housekeepers, concierge and chauffeurs, as well as ski instructors dedicated to the chalet, will cater to your every need.
But privacy is also assured, with the staff using their own separate lift, stairway and entrance.
The chalet was completed in September 2012 and is just two minutes walk to the centre of Courchevel.
It features a 50 metre sq ski room opening onto the Bellecote piste on Level 1, which also houses four of the eight bedrooms, all with their own private bathrooms.
A further three bedrooms can be found on Level 2, including the second of two master suites and a children’s room with twin beds.
But you will want to bag the Level 4 master suite, with its own lounge, two dressing rooms and bathroom.
Level 3 is dedicated to the reception rooms, with beautiful views over the surrounding mountains, and Level 0, the entrance level, houses the nightclub, cinema and library.
Then, for those that don’t burn enough energy on the slopes, there is an entire floor of fitness facilities, including the pool, on Level -1.
Even the car is looked after, with a car lift providing access to an underground garage, with room for 24 cars and a private car wash.
