Back at work and already dreaming of your next holiday?

Jetstar has launched a massive international fare sale today with flights from as little as $99 one-way, with some flights less than half the price of the standard fare.

The sale runs from 10 January to 18 January and includes popular routes such as Darwin to Bali from $99, Sydney to Bali from $199, Sydney to Phuket from $209, Melbourne to Bangkok from $189 and Sydney to Honolulu from $259.

Bali remains one of the most popular holiday spots for Australians seen as good value for money and close to home. From famous beach clubs such as KU DE TA, to amazing hotel pools and good food including Wagyu beef burgers at Cosmic Diner Bali and coffee from Milk and Madu in Canggu ... it’s the perfect family getaway.

Thailand also remains a top contender for Australian travels. From the mouth-watering street food in Bangkok, to the ancient temples of Chiang Mai and the beaches of Phuket, Aussies can’t get enough of Thailand.

New luxury resorts opening this year include AVANI Riverside Bangkok and Baba Beach Club in Phuket. Or if shopping is more your thing, plan a visit between mid-June and mid-August when the Amazing Thailand Grand Sales are on with discounts of up to 80 per cent. And of course, it’s the place to go for pampering and rejuvenation. From five-dollar foot massages under the stars, to the latest in hi-tech cosmetic enhancements, visitors love the feel-good factor in the Land of Smiles.

A flight in the other direction will take you to Hawaii, one of the top 10 destinations for Aussie thanks to its more than 300 beaches to play on.

The first stop for most travellers to Hawaii is the island of Oahu and a stay at Waikiki Beach — Hawaii’s most famous stretch of sand. If snorkelling is what you’re after head to Hanauma Bay — a marine conservation area home to hundreds of fish, green sea turtles and manta rays. And if you have time to check out some of the other islands, try Wailea Beach on Maui and see humpback whales frolicking offshore between December and May.
