Gold Coast model Gabrielle Epstein, 21, and lifestyle blogger Hannah Polites, 24, are both nudging one million Instagram followers and are fast turning the social media site into their main source of income.

Ms Epstein, who has 850,000 followers, is living it up on an all-expenses-paid trip to the majestic Maldives with her boyfriend, Conner Malan.

The picturesque Loama Hotels and Resorts at Maamigili is the latest exotic destination to partner with Gabrielle in a “collaboration” where she is offered free travel and accommodation in exchange for two Instagram posts a day.

She also makes thousands of dollars for featuring carefully-placed products — including bikinis — in her Instagram shots, making social media her main money-spinner.

In what will make all those stuck in the daily 9-5 grind jealous, her Insta-fame will likely fund a four-to-six month jaunt across Europe next year.

A free 31-day Top Deck tour and sailing trip around Ibiza is already locked in, along with stays at hotels across Europe.

“Hotels and resorts are realising the power of social media — it is very cheap exposure and they realise the investment of bringing influencers to their resort.” said Ms Epstein, who began receiving travel offers once she cracked 500,000 followers.

“My posts are really organic and people trust Instagram influencers a lot more than Photoshopped hotel photos, because we will often post unfiltered shots from an iPhone.

“The resorts see all the comments on my posts with people saying, ‘We’ve got to go here’.

“This is my dream job — next year I’ll be travelling the world with my best friend and most of the costs are likely to be covered.”

Ms Polites has just returned to her Sovereign Islands home after six months of globe trotting funded largely through her social media fame.

“Travel is definitely a highlight of being a lifestyle blogger — getting to visit exotic places and like-minded people,” she said.

“Flying a seaplane over the Fijian islands was amazing and completely unexpected.

“Hot air ballooning over Cappadocia’s unique landscape at sunrise with 130 other balloons was just magical and something I will never forget.

“Anything I have ever promoted through my Instagram is always a product or service that I genuinely believe in and would use myself.

“It’s an added bonus that I occasionally receive money for sharing products that I love.

“I have never been paid to travel.

“However I do sometimes get accommodation, flights and some experiences included with blogging trips.”

Hannah’s experiences have been out of this world — and most of it has been totally funded by her Insta-fame.

Although Ms Polites now plans to return to her job as a midwife on the Gold Coast, she’ll still be using her Instafame to promote her new lifestyle and recipe book Nourish with the Seasons: Summer to be released in December.

Ms Epstein plans keep building Instagram as her main source of income and is set to launch a lingerie line next month which will be largely promoted through social media.
