THE owners of the Gold Coast’s newest luxury wedding and events venue have given a first glimpse of its palatial design.
Chef Eddie Uzan and his designer wife Cherie are the brains behind The Valley Estate, a nine-acre custom designed venue in Currumbin Valley which is due to open next year.
The pair were also behind the Palm Beach restaurant Balboa and Avvia in Burleigh.
The Estate is comprised of five separate buildings with their own individual character, tied together by photo-friendly landscaping.
“I have been in the hospitality industry for a long time, we owned a few restaurants and now we wanted to create a purpose built space designed by myself for my husband who is an amazing chef,” Ms Uzan said.
“We always had plans to set up a wedding estate so when we found the property we thought it was perfect.
“What was lacking greatly on the Gold Coast was the option of high end beautiful wedding spaces – so here we are creating just that.”
The five buildings under construction include The Chapel, The Glasshouse, The Caretaker’s Cottage, the Gentleman’s retreat and The Manor, which is described as the centrepiece of the property.
The Manor, which is currently under construction, will feature handmade, vintage-style red bricks and soaring 8-metre high arched windows that frame the hinterland view beyond.
The windows are framed by flowing curtains and locally sourced and crafted sandstone by Stonestyle in Currumbin. The space also features chandeliers, handcrafted tables and polished concrete floors.

The Chapel is more classic in design with stained glass windows, chandeliers and American Oak Pews.
“We are still building but already have quite a few weddings booked from May next year, Ms Uzan said.
“At the rate of completion we may also have it handed over a month or so earlier, so will be able to move some things forward.
“We really wanted to create an all-in-one space, we offer everything including the wedding co-ordinators so couples can just relax and enjoy their day.
“I think in everything you do there is an element of risk but I believe that we are ticking all the boxes.”
The property’s first building, The Caretaker’s cottage, will be completed in the next few weeks as a consulting space where couples will be taken through 3D virtual tours of the property.
