“Fits perfect and easy set up!”
One ALDI shopper has taken to the ALDI Mums Facebook group this week to ask for Christmas tree storage recommendations, after purchasing a large one this year.
“What is everyone using to store their Christmas Tree? I purchased the pre-lit 6ft tree and now don't want to squish it back into the box. 😅” she said in her post.
Commenters on the post were quick to share their experiences with the same tree, saying they’ve been perfectly fine popping it back into the box.
“I use the box it came in,” one commenter said.
“I’ve got the pre-lit tree from Aldi. I’ve been putting it back into same box for 3 years with no issue. I just use packing tape to reseal the box 👍” said another.
“We stuff it back in the box and seal it with duct tape,” a third agreed.
But, if you are looking for an alternative, the Ezy Storage 163L Christmas Tree Storage Box from Bunnings, and similar options from the store, were the clear front runners.
“I leave all the decorations on my 6ft prelit tree and store in the Bunnings Christmas tree storage tub. Fits perfect and easy setup,” one commenter said.
“The Bunnings Christmas Tree box it fits my pre little tree plus heaps of my Xmas decorations as well,” said another.
“The Bunnings tree box is awesome and you really don’t need to squish so if you can find one,” added a third.

The bauble storage hack you never knew you needed
As for baubles and other tree decorations, Aussie mum Chloe shared her Kmart purchase to TikTok which will have all your storage needs covered.
“I have clearly started taking down my Christmas tree, and I didn’t have anywhere to store all of my baubles, and the decorations, and the star, and the skirt, and all of that,” she said.
“I am aware that there are products that are designed specifically for storing Christmas decorations, but Christmas is gone, and stores are now empty of Christmas decorations and Christmas stuff, and I don’t want to order anything online because I want this Christmas tree gone today.”
In the video, Chloe shows Kmart’s Linen Look Storage Box with Dividers, originally designed for footwear, but perfect for Christmas decorations.
“It is from Kmart, it’s $19, it is a linen storage container,” she said.
“Inside, it has all different sections, because it’s actually designed for clothes, shoes, actual storage, but I’m using it for my Christmas decorations!”
Chloe made the most of the box and its dividers by splitting up her decorations by type and colour, making it easier than ever for her future self.
“I thought for $19, this was a much better solution than just chucking everything loosely in a container,” she said.
