The Candyman: mistress, nanny, reveal what life’s like inside Travers Beynon’s Gold Coast mansion

THE women who know tobacco magnate Travers Beynon best reveal what life inside the infamous Candy Shop mansion is really like. And it’s not pretty.

HE’S the millionaire tobacco magnate who’s been dubbed Australia’s Hugh Hefner for his lavish lifestyle and wild parties featuring near-naked women.

But life inside “The Candyman’s” Gold Coast mansion is a living nightmare, according to Travers Beynon’s former mistress — who was infamously photographed on her knees being led around by her bikini string.

Bikini model Kirsty Engelmann, who was in a relationship with Beynon and his wife Taesha, describes the Candyman as “chauvinistic, narcissistic and manipulative”.

Sickened ... Kirsty Engelmann shared the Candyman’s bed — but has now walked out of the Gold Coast party house.

She managed to escape the mansion but says she has been threatened by the millionaire since leaving.

“I’m glad I’m gone, I feel stronger,” Engelmann told Nine’s A Current Affair.

“It was just his way or the highway,” she said

“There’s a lot of people out there who have things to say but are too scared. Someone has to say ‘enough is enough’.”

The beautiful blonde says Beynon was an intimidating control freak and she sorely regrets allowing herself to be photographed on all fours being led around like a dog.

Sickeningly, the disgusting image — which was posted on Instagram — was taken by Beynon’s teenage son.

“I wasn’t happy to do the photo in the first place, it was degrading,” she told the Nine Network.

“I was told was told that I had to do it. I was angry, I was really angry, I didn’t even think that particular photo would go up.

Tacky ... Beynon regularly posts images of himself surrounded by bikini models on Instagram.

Despite her fears about how the image would affect her reputation, Engelmann says she didn’t protest when Beynon splashed it all over social media.

“It was just easier to leave it,” she told ACA.

The Beynon family’s former nanny Michelle told ACA how life inside the mansion eventually became unbearable for her due to the debauched behaviour she witnessed.

Concerns ... former nanny Michelle is worried about the effect the Candyman’s lifestyle is having on his kids.

“I feel like everyone who is there is some sort of puppet,” she said.

Michelle said she felt sorry for Beynon’s children.

“What breaks my heart, this is normal. I don’t want them to think this is how you treat women,” she said.

Beynon refused to speak to A Current Affair but his lawyer told the program the millionaire was concerned the report may damage his reputation and that his client was a loving parent to all four of his children.
