GOLD COAST social media personality Tammy Hembrow has helped a Gold Coast business ease by the pain of tough times by donating thousands of dollars worth of vouchers and clothing to staff.

Ms Hembrow and her team donated $4000 worth of vouchers and clothing to Paradise Point’s Cafe 7 last week after they were forced to let most of their staff go.

Cafe 7 owner Natalie Perry said the act of kindness was a “blessing and boosted morale”.

“We gave the vouchers to staff members who lost their jobs and there were a lot of tears,” she said.

“It has been a really hard time but this made our day.”

Ms Hembrow, who is the founder and owner of clothing line Saski Collection and has amassed more than 11 million followers on Instagram, announced her plans to help the community three weeks ago. She received more than 1,000 requests for help in less than 24 hours.

She told the Bulletin she wanted to “give back” by donating petrol and food vouchers and packs of Saski Collection clothing.

“The responses have been overwhelming and it breaks my heart to see how many small businesses are being affected,” she said.

“I feel it’s important as a business owner to give back to other businesses where I can, and hopefully encourage others to do the same.”

As well as Cafe 7, donations have also been given to Black Lash Ink and Gold Coast nurses.
