Suction cups are a handy addition to bath toys and bath toy storage containers.
They keep things off the bottom of the tub and help the masses of toys look a little more tidy.
But mum-of-two Fiona Falkiner recently discovered those innocent-looking suction cups can be deadly.
“Word of warning, whilst putting Hunter in the bath tonight, I turned and Spencer had this in his mouth, choking,” she shared on Instagram.
“We have lots of bath toys with these and they come off easily.
“We are throwing them all out.”
Fiona was left shaken but grateful that she was able to remove the toy from one-year-old Spencer’s mouth before anything really serious happened.

Fiona said that although she was left terrified, Spencer bounced back from the incident in typical one-year-old fashion.
“He is fine, just vommed all through the bath,” the Biggest Loser alum shared with her followers.

This isn’t the first time Fiona and her wife Hayley Willis have had a scare with their kids.
In 2022, then-one-year-old Hunter ended up in hospital after he choked on his own vomit.
Fiona said it was the “most terrifying” thing she’d dealt with as a mum.

"One of the most terrifying moments in our parenthood journey to date… We were hopeful little H would be on the mend," Fiona shared on Instagram on Friday.
"Instead his cough turned into another virus and as we were in our Melbourne hotel room a coughing fit saw him vomit choke and go limp for what seemed like an eternity.
"Thankfully we were able to clear his airways and get him conscious again before paramedics arrived."
