'Self-indulgent': Bride plans six different bridal showers plus hen and stag do

Gone are the days when a bridal shower and hens party would suffice. 

Now, a bride-to-be, dubbed by social media as 'tacky' and 'greedy', is setting the bar at a dazzling new height with not one, not two, but six bridal showers, each dedicated to a different room in her home. 

Yep, you read that right - she's going to get her whole house furnished at that rate!

In case that wasn't enough, there will also be a hens, bachelor party and even a dedicated shower for her husband.

"Is this normal?"

One invitee took to Facebook to expose the couple, who have already thrown an engagement party. 

They've since invited their guests to a marathon of gift-giving... we mean, events.

"So someone I know is getting married in Spring but are having wedding events the whole year," the guest wrote.

From the kitchen to the bedroom, no domestic sphere was spared.

Apparently, the bride will be throwing a kitchen shower, bedroom shower, bath shower, a general household shower, lingerie shower and a tool shower for the groom.

"Is this normal?" the guest asked, saying, "Isn't it usually just one shower and then the bachelor and bachelorette party?"

"Invites were sent already so everyone can plan accordingly," she added.

"People are getting bold!"

Hundreds of commenters were equally as confused, with one person saying, "That is a new kind of tacky there isn't even a word for it yet," while someone else asked, "I'm wondering how long that RSVP count will be?"

A third added, "I thought I've seen it all, apparently I was wrong."

Then someone else joked, "Wait, no shower shower?"

Others speculated that these events were purely gift-grabs rather than celebrations.

"Yeah no, I would only go to the bridal shower. The greediness knows no bounds," someone claimed.

Another user declared, "People are getting bold!"
