The discount supermarket has teamed up with charity Camp Quality to bring customers a very special range to support kids facing cancer, and one of the items in the range includes some specially designed "Clogs" for just $6.99.

Yeah yeah... they say clogs, we (unofficially) say...

Hitting ALDI's middle aisle on Wednesday September 11th, the Camp Quality collab includes a wide range of specially themed products that are perfect for summer but will also help "bring positivity, fun and laughter" back to those children affected by the deadly disease.

Along with the three colourway "clogs", the range includes bright bucket hats ($7.99), fun socks (2 pack for $3.99), double wall drink bottles ($8.99) and stylish, foldable sunglasses for kids ($7.99).

Not only is the range dirt cheap for some summer must-haves, 100 per cent of proceeds from the hat sales will be donated directly to Camp Quality.

Raising awareness in style

You just need to take a look around at your kids' weekly swimming lessons or by the beach on a busy weekend to realise just how popular Crocs are. And at less than a quarter of the price of an original pair, the ALDI slip-ons are sure to sell out.

But it's not about being on-trend for the German supermarket. They have recognised that September is an important month for those who have been affected by cancer and Camp Quality month seemed to be the perfect time to release the new range AND a bit of awareness at the same time.

“Whether it’s donning a bucket hat or donating at the register, since launching our national partnership with Camp Quality in 2020, we have collectively raised over $6.7 million for Camp Quality. This is only possible thanks to the incredible support of our customers, employees and Business Partners who have helped enable over 7,000 kids facing cancer to attend a Camp Quality recreational program,” says Daniel Baker, Director of National Sustainability at ALDI Australia.

“Our Camp Quality-themed Special Buys have been a hit with shoppers over the past four years, and with a portion of all sales from each of these items being donated to Camp Quality, Making a Good Difference has never looked better!”

Camp Quality CEO, Deborah Thomas is equally thrilled about the new range.

“We strive to be a source of positivity, fun and laughter for kids impacted by cancer, whether it’s their own diagnosis or that of a loved one, "she said in a statement.

"Through donations from ALDI Australia, including the Camp Quality Special Buys range, we can support kids at every stage of their cancer journey. We look forward to seeing ALDI shoppers rally behind this cause as they have done for the last four years.”
