Thousands of dog owners nominated their pet when we put out a call for the Gold Coast’s most paw-fect pooches. It was extremely hard to choose, but we’ve picked our favourite 50 — is your dog among them?

IF you ever doubted that the Gold Coast is a city of dog lovers – here’s the proof.

The Bulletin asked readers to send us photos of their precious pooches and the massive response left us with our tails wagging.

The photographs submitted showed dogs playing happily on our beaches, relaxing in their favourite spots at home or chewing their favourite toy.

But there was one common thread running through all the pictures – the sparkle in the eye of dogs who know they have been lucky to find such loving owners.
