THESE pictures are probably the best thing you will see all day. When it gets cold on Storybook Farm, the animals are all rugged up, from the dogs to the goats.

AS THE nights on the Gold Coast grow increasingly colder, the animals of Storybook Farm are rugging up.
And none more so than the property’s resident chooks, Dory and Pecky Becky, who don’t have enough feathers to keep themselves warm.
Lisa-Jayne Cameron, founder of the animal sanctuary, said the girls didn’t have many feathers after being rescued from an egg production farm three weeks ago.
“If it’s cold they wear their coats ... they’re woollen and flannel at the moment,” Ms Cameron said, adding the coats had been donated a while ago.
Ms Cameron said the girls were very sweet but when they first wore their coats the other chickens looked at them weirdly.
She said the chickens were slowly starting to grow down back and were still learning how to roost and scratch.
