HER name may be Coco Chanel but this pink-haired pooch is no diva.
The thoroughbred poodle loves nothing more than getting dirty chasing the chickens on her two hectare Gold Coast Hinterland property or playing with her “pet and friend”, a miniature horse named Maxi.
The fun is in direct contrast to Coco’s real job of getting glammed up in diamante collars, tiaras, hats, sunnies and ribbons to help raise tens of thousands of dollars for charities.
The celebrity dog shot to fame six years ago while featuring in John Michael Howson’s acclaimed stage show Pyjamas in Paradise, but now she is best known as the face of the Cooly Rocks On festival.
Coco Chanel came into the lives of owners Sue and Tony Zocchi when she was fostered out from the RSPCA after being tangled up in an animal cruelty court case.
“She is happy, smiley, loves people and has the best temperament,” Mrs Zocchi said.
“We didn’t have to train her, this is just who she is.
“We never make any money out of her.
“She always makes an entrance wherever we go.”
And Coco Chanel has definitely been some places, having travelled around Australia in her decked out pink and white caravan for music festivals and boating and sports events.
She has also appeared on Bondi Vet and has her own business card.
Mrs Zocchi said it took three days for Coco Chanel to get prepped for an event.
She said she spaced out all the grooming to keep Coco Chanel happy.
Over the three days Coco Chanel gets bathed, has her fur dyed, clipped and styled, and her toenails painted.
“She loves the attention but if it ever stops being fun for Coco we just leave,” Mrs Zocchi said.
