A CHIHUAHUA that went missing from a Gold Coast backyard has been found deceased.
Owner Alana Gray posted to social media yesterday that after eight days, Chilli had been found “sleeping.”
The tiny 1.4kg chihuahua was the third dog to have gone missing around the Upper Coomera area recently. A pomeranian and a dachshund called Buddy from Pimpama have still not been found.

Chilli disappeared from her fully-enclosed backyard on May 11, with Ms Gray quickly hiring a pet detective to help find her.

“It’s devastating,” she said.
“It’s just so unexpected, we just weren’t expecting … to get her back this way.

Ms Gray said the circumstances surround Chilli’s death were unknown but she would be cremated by Pet Angels so that she could be home with the family.
She said her other chihuahua, Bonnie, was much quieter than usual and missing her furry companion.
