THEY may be small but these baby bilbies are more than just cute kids with big ears.
They share the same mum, which is rare, and one day they will play an important part in boosting their species’ numbers in the wild.
The three joeys were born at Dreamworld, boosting the theme park’s bilby population to 14.
A Dreamworld spokeswoman said it was rare to have three bilbies born to the same mother, and each of them is looking strong.

The bilbies will eventually be released into a protected area at Currawinya National Park, near Cunnamulla in the state’s southwest, as part of a release program.
For now the joeys are spending their days exploring their surroundings at Dreamworld and entertaining inquisitive tourists.
They are the first baby bilbies born at the theme park in more than a year.
